My base set for The Mandalorian Season 1 is complete, and although I still intend to finish off the subsets eventually, I have moved on to something new! My next target is the Topps Star Wars Holocron series, which covers the entirety of Star Wars- so not just the films, but the animated shows and The Mandalorian as well! That's what convinced me to dive into this series, and I really hope to complete this 200-card base set as well.
I went on YouTube Live earlier this week to open up one hobby box and one blaster box. You can check out that video here:
The cards aren't just numbered straight 1 through 200- they are grouped by type. For example: Rebels, Resistance, Empire, First Order, Sith, Jedi, Bounty Hunters, and more! The hobby boxes (typically available only through specialty shops) are guaranteed an autograph or sketch card, while the blaster boxes (available through retail shops) come with a patch card.
Every other pack includes a holographic card, and who doesn't love shiny cards! They are beautiful. Other things to keep an eye out for are numbered cards in the parallel sets, and short print cards as well that are indicated with a "S" at the end of their number.
I have one more hobby box and two more blaster boxes to open, and will update this post with more videos as I open those! Keep an eye on Instagram Live if you're interested, as that's where I'll be headed to for my next box break.
UPDATE 1/10/2021: I opened up another hobby box and not one, not two, but three more retail blaster boxes on Instagram Live! I pulled another amazing autograph and other fun inserts as well.
Are you collecting these too? If so.... May the Force Be With Us! There are so many cards!!
